About Us
The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board (KPRDSB) is a progressive, dynamic school board, committed to student success and wellbeing. We educate our students to excel in learning, to succeed in life and to enrich our communities.
Our strategic direction and Mission, Vision, and Values guide us in delivering world-class education to over 34,000 students in 86 schools spread across a diverse jurisdiction spanning over 7,000 square kilometers in the Municipality of Clarington, Northumberland and Peterborough counties, City of Quinte West/Murray Ward.

- All primary classes have 23 or fewer students (not including full-day Kindergarten)
- French Immersion program available at 12 elementary schools
- Extended French program available at 4 elementary schools
- Optional Anishinaabemowin language program at 5 schools (available to Indigenous and non-Indigenous students)

- 8.1% of our students in JK-6 speak another language at home

- 8.8% of our students have First Nation, Métis and Inuit ancestry

- 15,000 students bused to school every day on 600 different bus routes
- 1 million+ library books and learning material
- A library resource centre in every school
- 10,000+ computers and servers
- 500+ Smartboards
- A range of special services including special education, behavioural, psychological, social work and attendance and counselling services
- School councils in every school, composed of parents, staff, students and community members
