Principals and Vice-principals
The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board follows a Principal/Vice-principal recruitment process for the positions of Elementary and Secondary Principal and Vice-principal (as needed) in the fall and winter of each school year. Details are posted on Apply to Education (ATE) during each recruitment period. Fully qualified individuals are invited to complete the application found in ATE and submit by the deadline indicated in the posting.
Only complete application packages received electronically within the timelines indicated for the current school year will be considered by the Interview Selection Committee.

Stage One: Application Process |
Candidates are invited to attend the "Aspiring Principal/Vice-principal Information Session" which is held shortly after the ATE posting is issued. Please contact Anne Morton by email at Anne_Morton@kprdsb.ca for more information. Your completed application package, submitted to ATE must contain the following documents:

Stage Two: Interview Stage |
The Interview Selection Committee will determine who will proceed to the Interview Stage using a consistent process and scoring system |
Stage Three: Reference Check Stage |
Reference Check Forms will be reviewed after the interview. The Interview Selection Committee and the Human Resources Department will review the findings from each stage to determine whether candidates will be successful or unsuccessful. Successful and unsuccessful candidates will be notified, and internal candidates will be provided a debriefing upon request. Successful candidates will be placed on a “Short List” for a three-year term. As vacancies arise, Senior Administration will place candidates based on the needs of the system. |
