Diplôme d'études en langue française
The DELF (Diplôme d'études en langue française) is an internationally recognized test of French proficiency. It is based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), which defines language proficiency along six global levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2. At each level, proficiency is measured across four competencies: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. France Education International awards successful candidates a diploma.

Diplôme d'études en langue française (DELF)
Since 2014, KPR has offered students the opportunity to challenge the DELF. The testing windows for the DELF sessions are chosen by FEI (France éducation international) and communicated to the Ontario DELF Centre, who in turn communicates these dates and times to school boards.
Each school year, KPR offers Grade 12 students in all three of our FSL programs (Core French, French Immersion and Extended French) the opportunity to challenge the DELF. Students have two administration windows to choose from, typically in November and again in April/May.
KPR offers all Grade 12 FSL students the choice of challenging either the A2, B1, or B2 proficiency levels. In conjunction with their FSL educators, students will choose which of the DELF levels they will challenge.
Only students who have not previously challenged the DELF exams are eligible to participate.
Specific registration information and deadlines will be communicated with families directly by the homeschool. In general, to register for the DELF, there are three important steps students/families must follow:

Families must complete the Online DELF registration form

Parents/Guardians must complete the Consent form, which needs to be returned to their child’s FSL teacher

A non-refundable DELF administration fee must be paid – exclusively through School Cash Online (your school secretary can assist with this)
