Addressing Concerns
Student and Family Support Office
We're here to help. The Student and Family Support Office at the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board offers parents/guardians and caregivers assistance with complex questions or concerns related to their child's education.
While most questions are best addressed directly through your child’s school, we recognize that some matters may require additional support beyond the school level. The Support Office provides a pathway for follow-up when more help is needed.
Before Contacting the Student and Family Support Office
Before reaching out to the Support Office, please first bring your question or concerns to the school, or responsible area, directly.
Most concerns can be addressed by speaking with your classroom teacher, vice-principal or principal.
If you still are not satisfied, please contact the superintendent responsible for your child's school.
If you have concerns related to student transportation, these should be directed to Student Transportation Services of Central Ontario (STSCO).
If you have a human rights concern, please contact the Commissioner's Office of Human Rights.
Contacting the Support Office
If your question or concern requires additional follow-up or assistance beyond the school level, please contact the Support Office.

Please provide as much information as possible (parent and student names, school name, detailed description of concern and steps that have been taken to address it) so we can best address your question or concern.
Timelines
Business hours for the Support Office are regular work days Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The KPRDSB Support Office is in alignment with Ministry of Education service standards.
- We will acknowledge your inquiry within two (2) business days and try to provide a full answer within five (5) business days.
- If we cannot give you a full answer within five (5) business days, we'll provide an estimate of when you can expect a response.
