The 2026 Parent Conference, held on October 17, was another successful event for KPR. More than 700 KPR parents, staff, and community members registered for the 2026 Parent Conference, featuring award-winning educator, author, and behavioural consultant Hannah Beach.

There’s still an opportunity for more parents/caregivers to take advantage of this learning opportunity, by watching a recording of the webinar.

In her engaging and relatable presentation, How to Raise Positively Connected Kids in an Age of Constant Stimulation, Beach shared practical strategies to help families foster connection, resilience, and well-being in a rapidly changing world.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive with 94% of respondents rating the webinar 5 out of 5. KPR’s Parent Involvement Committee sponsored the popular conference again this year.

Overview of Keynote

Today’s kids and teens are growing up in a world designed to capture and hold their attention. Phones, gaming, social media, streaming, and endless entertainment offer a steady stream of stimulation and quick dopamine hits. Technology itself isn’t the enemy, but the way devices and dopamine-driven culture have reshaped childhood and adolescence is having profound effects on emotional health, relationships, and family life. The good news is that parents and caregivers have far more influence than they may realize.

In this presentation, Hannah Beach explores what children are losing in a world of constant stimulation—and what they need from us now more than ever. With warmth, humour, and practical strategies, she shows parents and caregivers how to help children of all ages rediscover play, move through difficult emotions, deepen connection, and find the emotional rest that comes from being securely anchored to the adults who care for them.
