On Tuesday, May 6th, Adam Scott CVI was excited to welcome industry partner, OPG (Ontario Power Generation) to the school to demonstrate innovative drone and robotic technologies! 

Yoga poses, deep breathing, hydration stations, cuddles from furry friends and other wellness activities were all part of the Clarke High School’s first Wellness Fair on May 1st! 

Every day brings new and exciting hands-on learning opportunities for Grade 11 students in the STICS program at Cobourg Collegiate Institute (CCI), thanks to Construction Teacher Daniel Batty, who brings experiential learning to life on the job site, rain or shine! 

We are pleased to recognize three Volunteer Accolade Award Recipients for their time and effort spent fostering a love for reading, and having a positive impact on students’ literacy skills, and overall success! Establishing a strong foundation for student achievement in literacy is a priority in KPR’s Board Action Plan (BAP). 

We are pleased to recognize six Volunteer Accolade Award Recipients for the time and energy spent supporting nutrition programs in schools and their unwavering commitment to student well-being. KPR’s Board Action Plan (BAP) identifies multiple priorities that connect to student well-being, and creating safe, inclusive spaces where belonging, well-being and mental health are centered. 

We are pleased to recognize two Volunteer Accolade Award Recipients for the many ways they cultivate strong relationships within school communities and enrich educational experiences for students! Strengthening outreach and engagement with students, staff, families, and communities is a priority in KPR’s Board Action Plan (BAP).  

For the past three years, Jackie Nicholls has been an active volunteer at Beatrice Strong Public School. 

“When delivering snacks and hot lunches to classrooms, Tammy calls students by name and makes a concerted effort to get to know each of them, students absolutely love her! She has a way of making everyone, staff included, feel valued and special,” shares Jennifer Pym-Murphy, Special Education Resource Teacher and Early Intervention Teacher.
