Responsibilities

Safety is everyone's responsibility.
Everyone in our school community is responsible for promoting safe, caring relationships that respect human dignity.
Everyone is responsible for preventing harm.

Positive School Climate Teams

According to the Ministry of Education, all Ontario schools must have Safe and Accepting Schools Teams – also known as Positive School Climate Teams (PSCT) in KPRDSB.

Positive School Climate Teams:

are tasked with fostering a safe, inclusive, and accepting school climate.
analyze school data, develop strategies for resolving issues and improving school climate, and incorporate these actions into the school improvement plan.
include at least one student, teacher, parent/guardian, support staff, community member and the principal or vice-principal. Members will reflect a range of perspectives, knowledge, and experience while working toward common purposes.

Positive School Climate Teams also support the creation of Positive School Climate and Bullying Prevention & Intervention Plans, specific to each school.
