Creating an environment that honours Indigenous knowledge, culture, perspective and history and ensuring Indigenous students, staff and community see themselves reflected in their learning and working environments.
Land Acknowledgement
We would like to respectfully acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the treaty and traditional territory of the Mississauga First Nations. We are grateful for our relationship with the First Nations of this territory, for their care for, and teachings about, the land, the water, and all our relations. As Treaty People we continue our journey to strengthen our understanding of our Treaty relationship and of how to move forward together in a good way. We acknowledge the contributions and accomplishments of all Indigenous people across Turtle Island, current and throughout history.

International and Indigenous Languages Elementary Program
The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board runs the International and Indigenous Languages Elementary (IILE) Program for students in Kindergarten to Grade 8 who are interested in the opportunity to develop their language skills through a free, non-credit course outside of school hours.
International Language instructors focus on the development of the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing with an emphasis on oral language development. These classes are ideally taught by International Languages Instructors.
