The Arts Matter at KPR
Education in the arts is essential to students' intellectual, social, physical and emotional growth and well-being. Experiences in the arts – dance, drama, music and visual-arts – play a valuable role in helping students to achieve their potential as learners and to participate fully in their community and in society as a whole. The arts nourish and stimulate the imagination and provide students with an expanded range of tools, techniques and skills to help them gain insights into the world around them and to represent their understandings in various ways.
Integrated Arts Program
TAS is home to the Integrated Arts Program and also offers a wide variety of Arts programming for all students.
The Integrated Arts Program was established in the 1990s. Over that time, the program has grown, endured and expanded. We strive every day to create vital and relevant experiences both inside and out of the classroom. Our program provides students with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the arts in a supportive environment, encouraging all involved to develop an artistic voice through the disciplines of dance, drama, music and visual arts.
