Athletics and Clubs
Our school offers students the opportunity to engage in a wide range of extracurricular activities, from competitive sports to student-led clubs. Whether joining an after-school club, competing in interschool athletics, or participating individually or as part of a team, students across all grades have opportunities to develop valuable skills in teamwork, time management, and leadership.
For more information about secondary school athletics, including competitions through regional associations and the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA), visit the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board website.

Norwood DHS is a strong athletic single A school that competes in all sports. Each year student voice and interest determines which specific sports are offered, but there is always a strong selection including football, rugby, basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton, cross country, track and field, ultimate frisbee, hockey and golf.
In addition to having a strong athletics program, Norwood DHS also offers a wide selection of clubs for students. All clubs are based on student interest and can change over time. If there is an interest from students we endeavor to create new clubs to support student interests. Some of our current clubs are GSA, Art Club, Yearbook Club, Chess/ Games Club, Knights Novelty (book club), Pokémon club, and Student Leadership.
