The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board is pleased to provide the public with information about how we run our publicly funded organization. As a Broader Public Sector (BPS) organization, we are required to publish online business plans and other business or financial documents. This supports the Government of Ontario's mandate for openness and transparency.

Please find information below with respect to the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board’s (KPR) and the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board’s (PVNCC) Education Development Charges (EDCs) Review for the City and County of Peterborough.

The Boards are seeking input from the public prior to the passage of Education Development Charges. Please see the information below for more information on the public meetings and how to make a submission.

Municipality of Clarington

The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board (KPR) has an Education Development Charge (EDC) By-law in place in the Municipality of Clarington.  EDCs are a revenue source, for school boards that qualify, to purchase and develop land for new schools. EDCs are meant as a funding mechanism for boards that are experiencing a growth-related accommodation need in their jurisdiction.

This directive requires us to publish our business plans and financial documents on one webpage for easy reference.
