Advanced Placement
What is the Advanced Placement?
The Advanced Placement Program (AP) is a cooperative agreement between participating secondary schools and post-secondary institutions. AP courses permit you to undertake additional academic content as identified by postsecondary institutions.
Students may work toward the opportunity to write an Advanced Placement (AP) exam. The AP program is interwoven with the Ontario curriculum. AP enrichment exposes students to university-level content and expectations, providing valuable experiences in preparation for universities in Canada, the U.S. or abroad.
To determine if your child's secondary school offers AP classes, please contact the Guidance department.
