COVID-19 Reporting of Confirmed Cases
In accordance with Ministry of Education guidelines, this page will be updated on an ongoing basis with information regarding confirmed cases of COVID-19 involving a student or staff member in a school setting in Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board.
For all confirmed cases, families and staff at the school will be notified. Local Public Health units will contact any close contacts directly with information about steps they need to take, e.g. testing, self-isolation or self-monitoring of symptoms.
Important: A positive case at a school does not necessarily mean the individual was exposed to COVID-19 at the school. They may have been exposed somewhere else in the community.
If there is no information provided, there are no active, confirmed cases.

Because of the holidays and remote learning period, confirmed COVID cases of students/staff will not be identified as ‘school cases’ or updated on our COVID Reporting Page because these individuals would not have been at school while infectious and pose no additional risk to students or staff. If there are any confirmed cases among students with special education needs who may be physically learning in schools, and/or teachers and staff who are working in-person, communication will be sent directly to those who are learning and/or working within the school.
