Important Information and Resources: COVID-19

Important Information & Resources: COVID-19

COVID-19 has changed most aspects of our lives, including education at KPR, in Canada and around the world. At all times, KPR works closely with, and takes direction from, our local Health Units and provincial health officials, to protect students and staff.

The COVID-19 Resource Links to the left provide a wide range of information for parents, guardians and staff on this important subject. Given the constantly changing nature of COVID-19, we are sending weekly updates to families and staff, to keep everyone up-to-date on any new developments at the Board, whether related or unrelated to COVID.

Please self-screen daily!

We remind all families and staff that it is extremely important to screen themselves for possible symptoms of COVID-19 every morning, before heading to school. Please use the Ontario government’s online self-screening tool for this purpose. It will help you make an informed decision about whether you should attend school or child care, consult a health care provider, or get tested for COVID-19.

The self-screening tool can be completed online at

We also encourage everyone to download the Government of Canada’s COVID Alert app, which can let people know of possible exposures to COVID before any symptoms appear. That app is available at no charge at

WiFi at Schools

We know that not all KPR students and families have access to WiFi.  As we work to support our communities in these challenging days, we have designated all our schools as public WiFi hotspots. Members of the public may access the internet at no charge from outside our buildings. In using this resource, we encourage everyone to follow public health directives and maintain physical distancing. Please click here to see the instructions for accessing the WiFi.
