Multifaith Accommodations
The Kawartha Pine Ridge DSB (KPR) values the contribution of all members of its diverse community to the achievement of its mission and goals. The Board understands that its continuous improvement requires the creation and maintenance of safe, fair, nurturing, positive and respectful working and learning environments.
It is important that the public school system acknowledges both the freedom of religion that is protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and the protection from discrimination and harassment based on religion that is part of the Ontario Human Rights Code.
KPRDSB believes that the process of multifaith accommodations and partnership with members of its community will help to build an environment of mutual respect and understanding.
