 Elearning Opportunities

High school credits are being offered to Kawartha Pine Ridge students by our innovative certified teachers through the E-learning Ontario Learning Management System. Selected course offerings are available to students across the jurisdiction to meet their individual learning needs in a range of academic disciplines. Please see your guidance department to facilitate registration in these courses.

The Ministry of Education has authorized e-Learning as a recognized instructional method and has developed a provincial initiative making use of this method to support the Success to 18 Strategy. School boards are making use of the courses and infastructure provided by E-Learning Ontario to facilitate course delivery.

Kawartha Pine Ridge is opening e-learning opportunities to students in order to provide greater flexibility in course offerings and programs. E-learning meets the needs of students who are unable to take a course because it is full or is not offered at their home school. The program also provides options for students who may not be able to attend day school classes or who may have different learning styles and needs.

The most recent information for students can be found here in our new Student Handbook:  Student Handbook for E-learning.pdf

Please view our new brochure, entitled Plugged In!  ELearning brochure.pdf to learn more about this exciting course delivery model. Students and parents who are interested in learning more about the possibilities provided by elearning can contact their local secondary school principal.
