2010/2011 SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR
In January 2010, the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board approved a modified school year calendar for 2010/11. It has been forwarded to the Ministry of Education for final approval.
Important dates include:
• 1st day of classes – Tuesday, September 7, 2010
• Winter Break – Thursday, December 23, 2010, to Wednesday, January 5, 2011 (students return to class on Thursday, January 6, 2011)
• March Break – March 14-18, 2011
• PA Days – September 2, September 24 and October 18, 2010; February 4, April 8 (secondary only), June 10 (elementary only) and June 30, 2011
• Secondary exam days – January 28-February 3 and June 23-29, 2011
• Last day of classes – Wednesday, June 29, 2011.
The modified dates for Winter Break were recommended based on feedback from the majority of respondents to an on-line survey posted on the Board’s website in December.
