Remember, we all need help at some point in our lives and it is ok to ask! This page of our website provides some great resources as does the student mental health site.

When it all starts to be too much, where do I go?  What do I do?

There are many resources available to staff and their families if you begin to feel overwhelmed. One important resource available to staff is the Board's Employee and Family Assistance Program.  You or any of your dependents can call 24/7 to get assistance for a variety of different concerns, from stress, to addiction, to childcare concerns, marital issues, physical health or nutritional health.  The toll-free number is 1-800-387-4765.  Click here for more details on the services available.

Other great resources include:

Canadian Mental Health Association  log onto their site and try the Work Life Balance quiz or the Mental Health Meter .

Workplace Strategies for Mental Health has a great employee page (Click here..) with some great tips and resources to support your own mental health as well as videos sharing real life experiences of people dealing with mental health issues.
