The beginning of the school year is an exciting time for all of us in education. Staff and students return to school with energy, positive hopes and dreams for the upcoming school year. Friendships are created or renewed and laughter and stories are shared. Our common bonds are heightened and our differences are minimized. Our schools and workplaces are safe havens where we work and learn together in an atmosphere of trust, respect, and high standards for all. Our collective efforts in public education improve the lives and life prospects of our many thousands of students.

In Kawartha Pine Ridge, we take pride in the accomplishments that are made across our Board, by our students and by our staff. By working collaboratively with parents, volunteers, school council members and our hundreds of valued community partners, we will continue to make our schools the best that they can possibly be.

Moving forward together, we will encourage creativity and innovation at the school level. The entire educational experience, inside and outside the classroom, must be valued highly and students encouraged to be involved in as many aspects of school life as possible. School memories last a lifetime, so let’s work together to create the best possible memories every day.
