City of Peterborough Secondary Schools: Group Pupil Accommodation Review

The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board has approved the establishment of a joint Board/community accommodation review committee. This committee will consider the futures of Adam Scott Collegiate Vocational Institute and Intermediate School, Kenner Collegiate Vocational Institute and Intermediate School, Peterborough Collegiate and Vocational School, and Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School.

The committee will hold four public meetings to examine the student accommodation needs at these schools. At the end of the study, the review committee will prepare a report that will include recommendations on the future of the schools, including possible closures.

The Board and the City of Peterborough Secondary Schools Group Pupil Accommodation Review Committee invites, and welcomes, parents and community members to committee meetings on:

It is important to note that, while the location of the meetings will rotate through the schools being reviewed, each meeting will NOT be specific to the host school. Information regarding all four schools being reviewed will be presented at each meeting.

School Board administration has the responsibility to annually bring to the attention of Board Trustees schools that, for a number of reasons, may be reviewed for a possible closure.
