With the implementation of voluntary Self-Identification Program, KPR has been able to consider the needs of the Métis community.  Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board promotes Métis culture and traditions.  The Métis National of Ontario for Region 7 is the Northumberland Métis Council.  They be can be contacted at:
